Fear of feeling
You know that things are about to change and that they will never be the same again.
But what does that mean? How will I feel? Does my body dictate how I feel or does my mind? Messages from my body are sent to my brain and I know that those messages are translated there into feelings. But what if The Brain dictates to The Body?
What if it might be able to say to the message of panic sent by The Adrenals;
‘No, you don’t need to feel like that’.
‘No’, it might be able to say to the million butterflies tethered and clamouring within The Gut;
‘No, you don’t need to feel like that’…Is The Brain that powerful?
And who tells The Brain; ‘ No, there’s no need to feel like that, spread the message’.
I believe it is The Breath that holds the key. The Brain is merely the messenger of The Breath and who knows no fear. The Breath is not afraid of feelings because it can see that they are as fluid as the air. They come and go like the waves in the ocean, furiously throwing themselves at the cliff face or gently licking the cheek of the beach like a puppy.
Fear of Feeling is a fear of Life itself and Breath knows that without Life, there is no feeling.
